On March 30, 2024, the 29th Academic Conference of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the 13th Pathology Annual Meeting grandly opened in Beijing. This conference coincided with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. Over the past seventy years, with the joint efforts of pathology colleagues nationwide, it has been committed to promoting the development of pathology research and practice. The opening ceremony of this conference was addressed by Professor Bu Hong, former director of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Professor Liang Zhiyong, director of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Professor Liu Dongge, incoming director of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Professor Bian Xiuwu from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor Chen Guozhang from the Royal College of Pathologists in the United Kingdom. Many pathologists gathered together, adhering to the concept of "Inheritance, Innovation, and Development," to build an academic platform showcasing the fruitful achievements of seventy years of development, promoting exchanges and cooperation among colleagues from various regions, and envisioning a bright future for pathology.
Winmedic unveiled its new series of digital slide scanners, including the Win60 Pro and Win300 Pro, for the first time, which attracted widespread attention from attendees. Participants experienced and inquired about the scanners' configurations and related information, marveling at their rapid and high-definition whole-slide digital imaging effects, making them the focal point of the event. Experts and scholars highly praised Winmedic for its technological innovation and product quality, expressing their intention to continue following Winmedic's development and looking forward to further cooperation opportunities.
During the exhibition, Winmedic invited Professor Ji Xiaolong, a renowned pathologist, to deliver an engaging interactive speech. Additionally, Mr. Bao Ji, Associate Researcher at West China Hospital and member of the Digital Pathology and Artificial Intelligence Committee of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, provided insights into the current status and future prospects of AI in pathology. Product Manager Yu Shicheng introduced the digital pathology intelligent analysis software DP-MASTER from Danjier, while Tang Zhisong from Danjier elucidated the rapid development of digital pathology in general practice. These presentations captured the attention of many attendees.
In addition, Winmedic meticulously planned a variety of games and quiz challenges as interactive activities, which were both exciting and diverse, attracting active participation from numerous attendees.
The conference featured main venue presentations and specialized pathology training sessions covering a wide range of topics, including female reproductive pathology, lymphohematopoietic pathology, thoracic pathology, urologic male reproductive pathology, dermatopathology, infectious pathology, cardiovascular pathology, and pediatric pathology. There were also specialized sessions on molecular pathology, pathology education, an international forum on bone and soft tissue, multi-headed microscope teaching on lymphohematopoietic pathology, and multi-headed microscope teaching on gastrointestinal pathology. The conference invited leaders from various fields, allowing attendees to interact face-to-face with technology scholars and domain experts, providing them with a feast of ideas.
